This here variety is the “slim”; at least you’re not hitch-hiking to Dorothy Gale’s twister-prone homestead.Wouldn’t you know…all the cheap ethanol gas they were practically giving away in KC on Thursday was gone before we ever left ‘Nap-town.
Two-fourteen a gallon for E10 (ten percent ethanol, ninety percent gasoline)…not bad.
I can’t remember the last time I paid less than two-fifty for regular unleaded at my favorite Shell station in Carmel.
Coincidentally, 214 mph was the pole qualifying speed at last year’s Indy 300 at Kansas Speedway.
Sadly, there’s no way the black Audi in the passing lane suddenly morphs into the Ferrari F2007 and tops that number.
I’d better get back to watching the road, both hands on the wheel.
